🌿 Trusting God in the In-Between
🕊️ “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” – Proverbs 3:5 (NIV)
Midlife can feel like standing in the hallway between who you were and who you’re becoming.
The familiar is behind you. The future is blurry. And in the space between, God invites you to trust—not blindly, but deeply.
🌿 1. Trust Is Not Certainty — It’s Surrender
“When I am afraid, I put my trust in You.” – Psalm 56:3 (NIV)
Trusting God doesn’t mean you never feel afraid.
It means you’ve learned to place that fear into stronger hands.
Sometimes trust is a confident declaration. Sometimes, it’s a trembling whisper:
“God… I don’t understand, but I’m with You anyway.”
📝 Journal Prompt:
Where am I craving clarity right now instead of trusting the One who sees the full picture?
🕊️ 2. Trust Is Letting Go of the “How”
“Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you.” – Psalm 55:22 (NIV)
You weren’t meant to carry the “how.” That’s God’s job.
We often hold too tightly to outcomes, trying to force solutions instead of opening our hands in surrender.
🕯️ Try This:
Write down one burden you’re holding. Place it in a small box or jar labeled “God’s.” Let it go—visibly, prayerfully.
🌼 3. Trust Grows in the Wilderness
“Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him.” – Jeremiah 17:7 (NIV)
Wilderness seasons often look like nothing is happening.
But underground, roots are growing deeper.
You’re not lost. You’re being rooted. Even silence can be sacred when you’re walking with God.
đź’› Midlife Insight:
If this season feels quiet, maybe it’s preparation, not punishment.
🙏 Closing Prayer
Yehovah, will You please help me release my grip on what I can’t control? Teach me to lean into Your love instead of my limited understanding. When I feel stuck in the in-between, remind me You’re walking with me. I choose trust—even in the quiet. Amen.
